Okehampton Surgery
Okehampton branch has full operating, x-ray facilities, and in house laboratory to include blood progesterone testing for the accurate mating of your breeding bitch.
We have the ability to complete specialised dental x-rays at this branch.
Two thirds of our dog’s and cat’s teeth are under the gingiva (gums), and are not viewable. Dental radiographs help in the diagnosis of problems. They allow assessment of the teeth, the surrounding soft tissues, the joints and of the bone. Dental radiographs can reveal subgingival (under the gums) foreign objects, cysts and tumours. They are very important for cats to detect resorbing tooth roots, which is critical to know when needing to remove cats’ teeth.
Consultations and operations (by appointment) are available, as well as medicine collections. All out of hours emergencies are seen at our North Tawton branch.
