Deborah-White-North-Park-Vets

Deborah White RVN

Practice Manager

Deborah qualified as a veterinary nurse in 1982 and joined North Park in April 2019.

She has moved from the South East with her husband and is looking forward to exploring Devon and all that it has to offer. Deborah has been managing Veterinary Practices for over 14 years.

Deborah has a small holding, Whiteface Dartmoor sheep and 2 Dartmoor yearlings and chickens. With 2 greenhouses and a polytunnel she enjoys being self sufficient with her fruit and veg.

Sophie Kerslake

TB & Export Manager

Sophie manages all of the admin related to TB testing, as well as export administration and other farm related matters. She also manages the Quicktags and assists other veterinary practices by covering the TB master helpline. 

Sophie and her partner farm suckler cows and sheep. In her spare time Sophie enjoys live music and growing her own veg.

Karen James North Park Vets

Karen James

Accounts Manager

Karen joined North Park in 2005, initially as a receptionist but her job has developed and as Accounts Manager she deals with all accounts for farm, exports and insurance companies. 

Karen qualified as a R-SQP in 2008 which means that she is available to give advice for all species on worming and parasite control and has authority to dispense certain wormers and vaccines. 

In her spare time she enjoys reading, spending time with her family and reading.

Rachel Foster North Park Vets

Rachel Foster

Receptionist

Rachel joined North Park in 1992 and is responsible for the smooth running of the Hatherleigh surgery. In 2006 Rachel attained the qualification of R-SQP, which enables her to give advice and prescribe wormers and vaccines for farm and companion animals. 

In her spare time Rachel enjoys going on mystery trips!

Jacky is our bookkeeper who pays the staff wages and suppliers.

Kerri Martin North Park Vets

Kerri Martin

Receptionist

Kerri works as a receptionist at our Okehampton branch. She also assists with admin, helping to organise the staff rota and holidays. Kerri is a great family person, with two grown up sons. 

Vanessa Keast - North Park Vets

TB & Export Support

Vanessa joined North Park in 2019 to support Sophie with the growing workload for TB and export administration. 

In her spare time Vanessa enjoys reading a good book and running and comes from a farming background.

Abbie Jones - North Park Vets

Abbie joined the North Park reception team in 2019 and is usually found at our North Tawton branch

Abbie has come from an equine background and is enjoying being in the warm and dry environment of our reception instead of battling the Dartmoor weather! 

Sonia-Harrow-North-Park-Vets

Sonia Harrow

ACCOUNTS ASSISTANT

Sonia joined the North Park reception team in August 2019. She is found mainly at our North Tawton branch. 

At home Sonia has three children, two dogs and two cats. She is a former instructor in the army cadets and when not busy with all of that, enjoys walking and gardening.

Receptionist

Ange joined North Park in September 2020. Ange works at all of our branches.

When not busy at North Park Ange helps out at home on her farm, Ange comes from a well known farming family in the area.

Don’t show her a kitten or she will take it home!

Rosie lives locally with her partner who works on a livestock farm and her family are farmers in Nottinghamshire.

Rosie is pictured with her dog at home called Bamboo.

Yasmin Blight-Avery SQP - north-park-veterinary-group

Yasmin Blight-Avery SQP

Receptionist

Yasmin lives locally and joined North Park Vets in 2023. Yasmin has the small animal SQP qualification. Now known as AMTRA RAMA this requires passing both written and oral assessments, but that is not the end of the process: being an AMTRA RAMA means an ongoing commitment, acting responsibly, following the rules in the Regulations and Code of Practice, advising animal owners on choice of medicine and their safe and effective use, as well as other strategies, contributing to the health and welfare of their animals. There is also a requirement to do some ongoing learning known as CPD (continuing professional development).

When not at work Yasmin who loves all animals but spending time with her terriers and cocker spaniels is her favourite past time.
